about Louise

Hi, I’m Louise and I am an integrative-relational counsellor and supervisor with over a decade of experience working across a range of therapeutic settings, supporting clients and therapists in developing insight, resilience and meaningful change.
I work in private practice and welcome enquiries from individuals seeking counselling or therapists seeking supervision.
Counselling
At the heart of my counselling work is a warm, collaborative therapeutic relationship. I support clients to explore patterns in relationships, emotions and behaviour in a way that feels safe, curious and genuinely engaged.
Since qualifying in 2011, I have worked with clients across a range of settings, bringing breadth of experience to my integrative-relational approach. I pay close attention to how the therapeutic relationship itself can support understanding and change, noticing how patterns shaped by earlier experiences may emerge in the present moment between therapist and client. By building a strong working alliance and remaining open, responsive and authentic, I aim to help clients feel understood, while gently exploring different ways of relating in their everyday lives. My approach is engaged, responsive and grounded in relational depth.
I have significant experience working with trauma, including complex and developmental trauma. EMDR forms an important part of my practice. Alongside integrating it into ongoing therapy, I offer EMDR intensives for clients seeking more focused, structured trauma processing. My integrative approach allows me to combine reflective exploration with more structured therapeutic methods in a flexible and compassionate way.
Supervision
My supervision practice is grounded in Clarkson’s five-relationship model, with the therapeutic relationship at the centre of the work. I work collaboratively with therapists to think at depth about their clinical practice, offering a reflective and grounded supervisory space that attends to relational dynamics, emerging patterns, and what may be unfolding between client, therapist and supervisor.
I support therapists to develop new perspectives, explore process, and attend to subtle aspects of the work that might otherwise be overlooked.
